Summer is the time to express yourself through brighter colors and fun patterns. Summer is also a time of fun, relaxation, and self-care! Throughout summertime some may gain dopamine from seeing bright and bold colors or having the sun shine bright. For others, they feel a sense of calmness and relaxation when they are presented with soft, simple colors and patterns. However you may spend your summer, having the perfect nail color to look at throughout the day is a must have. Here are some strong and gentle colors for your nails this summer!

1. Bold Barbie Pink

 If making a bold statement this summer is up your alley, then I highly recommend this stunning bright pink color. Personally, pink is my favorite color, so I am a little biased. Although, I believe this color would suit anyone and make them happy just looking at their nails. This color will also pop in water when you go swimming or when you're at the beach this summer. 

2. Blue Splash

Looking to match perfectly with the bright summer water? Well, this nail color is perfect for you. This bright, watery blue is ideal for any summer festivity. It is not as bold as hot pink, but it isn't sheer like pastels would be. You could also tone this color down a bit by making it a bright, light blue instead. 

3. Light Jade 

If your summer consists of nature and the freeing sounds of chirping birds, then this color is perfect for you. A light jade green incapsulates the peace of nature, while still having a fun vibe to it. This color also pairs perfectly with the bright summer sun anywhere you may go. You could even match your cold matcha lattes to you nails on a hot summer day. 

4. Lush Lilac 

 Similar to the jade green, this light and airy purple is guaranteed to make your day. It is bright, yet still on the pastel side. Additionally, if you happen to visit the lilac fields in France, your nails will match perfectly for the occasion. If purple is your color than I definitely recommend this summer nail color. 

5. Milky Base

Looking for a super neutral and natural color instead? This milky base color is perfect for you. A creamy, off-white color like this goes with just about everything. With a neutral base like this you can allow for your outfits and accessories to show off the summer colors. Or you can always keep everything calm and natural as well. 

6. Coral Reef

This summer, we should bring back coral. Personally, I have not seen coral as much as a staple as it used to be. Although, I think we should bring it back in a moderate way. This includes using a more pastel coral opposed to an orangey-bright color for this summer. The lighter coral still pops while giving the creamsicle vibes. So yum!

7. Ombre 

Now we are getting a bit crazier. This summer is the ideal time to create an ombre affect from one nail to the other. Pick any color you like and make an ombre from the brightest shade to the lightest. This incorporates the clam and the bold in one nail look. 

8. Skittles 

Just like skittles or colorful candies, these nails incorporate multiple bright and bold colors for this summertime. If you are indecisive like me, you can pick your favorite vibrant (or light) colors and add them all to your nails at once. To me this look screams summer and when using specific colors, you can create any vibe you are looking for. 

9. Watermelon Sugar 

Similar to the last one, you can alternate colors that you love and create a certain theme for your nails. This one shows a watermelon vibe using alternating vibrant green and pink. Some other examples include pink and yellow or orange for a retro vibe, blue and pink like cotton candy, or yellow and purple for a flower garden theme. 

10. Madly Metallic 

Using the fun and unique ideas and colors above, you could add a metallic sheen to all these ideas. I think this summer we will be seeing more shine added to our everyday summer colors. This provides a light reflecting affect that matches perfectly with the hot summer sun. This uses bright colors such as this stunning orange that enhance our summer look even more.
